day 1

From Finale’s Beech Forests to Alassio’s Beaches

finale ligure ⟶ alassio

Experience the true essence of Ligurian riding: from ancient forests to the deep blue sea. First, we start from Colle del Melogno for a total immersion in the Barbottina Forest. Accompanied by certified MTB guides, you will tackle natural singletracks and technical descents through roots and rocks.

We will cross the medieval village of Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena before moving, thanks to shuttle support, towards the hills of Alassio.

Finally, the ending is pure adrenaline: a panoramic descent that dives directly onto the beach for a celebratory beer at sunset.

day 2

The Wild Heart of Argentina Valley

alassio ⟶ molini

This will be a truly ‘Wild’ day. After leaving the coast, we will go deep into the lesser-known part of western Liguria.

You will be embarked on a real off-grid adventure: no Trailforks, no maps, just pure old-fashioned mountain biking.

In addition, we will ride high ridges overlooking the seafront valleys and technical natural trails

This is the main menu for today. In front of us, one of the last valleys before the French border awaits: the Argentina Valley

Specifically, we will explore the countless legendary trails surrounding the famous village of Molini di Triora.

overnight // DOLCEAQCUA

day 3

the golden ridge

MOLINI ⟶ dolceacqua

This is the ‘Golden’ day of the tour and certainly the most ‘all-mountain’ one. After leaving the shuttle, we will pedal for less than 10 km. Subsequently, we will launch into an endless descent, punctuated by a few short climbs. However, these peaks are never so steep that we lose our smiles.

We are now just a stone’s throw from the French border. In fact, at times we will be riding with one wheel in Italy and the other in France.

The scenery is absolutely incredible, and it feels like we are flying over the jagged peaks of the Maritime Alps. Finally, an epic descent of nearly 2,000 meters awaits us as we head down to Dolceacqua. If your bike works here, it will work everywhere!

overnight // la brigue

day 4

Into the Remote Roya Valley

DOLCEACQUA ⟶ la brigue

Another epic journey awaits us, specifically towards one of the pearls of the mysterious Roya Valley: the small and remote village of La Brigue.

After an appetizer consisting of a long trail that preserves age-old secrets, we will enter the most remote area of the tour. In fact, this is where the Ligurian Alps merge with the Maritime Alps.

The Alpine landscape will accompany us throughout the day. It will make us forget how close we are to the Mediterranean Sea. We will try to end the ride a little early to be ready for a proper aperitif. After all, it is always a holiday, right?

END OF TOUR // NICE PROMENADE

day 5

The Disneyland Finale

la brigue ⟶ nice

The final day will be just as impressive as the others. In fact, we consider the arrival in Nice to be the true culmination of four intense days of riding.

The Roya Valley is a hidden gem among international mountain bike destinations. Its rugged and wild trails offer thrills at every turn.

As we approach Nice, the landscape changes dramatically from alpine vistas to a more arid coastal scenery. Furthermore, the last trail of the tour will take you back to your childhood.  it is called ‘Disneyland’ for a reason. Finally, we will celebrate our journey on the Mediterranean coast after an incredible 2,100-meter descent.

The Silvery Mystery of the Argentina Valley

Ever wondered why this wild corner of Liguria is called the ‘Argentina Valley? Many travelers mistakenly think it refers to ancient silver mines hidden in the mountains. The true secret lies in the centuries-old Taggiasca olive trees that cover the slopes.

When the afternoon breeze blows upward from the Mediterranean Sea, it flips the leaves of millions of olive trees simultaneously. They reveal their pale, silvery underside. In a single moment, the entire valley begins to shimmer and sparkle like polished silver under the sun. In fact, it is a natural spectacle that we will witness together as we ride the ridgelines. It’s not just a name; it’s a living landscape that changes with the wind.
