This is more than a day of riding. It’s a journey through the landscapes, history and culture that shaped Finale Ligure into one of the world’s most iconic mountain bike destinations. Expect legendary trails, breathtaking sea views, lesser-known corners of the territory , historic villages and a few authentic Ligurian surprises along the way.
We kick off with a shuttle uphill to tackle the rocky rhythm of Rollercoaster and the unique Swiss-style rock slabs of Metanodotto, followed by our signature Maritozzo pastry break. Then, we pedal up toward Verezzi for an amazing sea view before dropping into the iconic tight switchbacks of X-Men. If the group is feeling strong and wants to explore more, a short extra climb rewards us with a secret panoramic viewpoint before launching into Parsifal and finishing on the classic Bondi.
After a recharging lunch break, a second shuttle takes us straight to the historic Nato base area. From there, we will choose the best technical singletracks tailored to your riding style, blasting all the way down until it’s time to crack open a well-deserved final beer. It’s our way of sharing the trails, landscapes and local culture that make Finale Ligure so special.

The Finale Signature Day is our flagship guided MTB tour in Finale Ligure. This guided MTB experience showcases the trails, landscapes and culture that made Finale Ligure famous worldwide
This private experience is fully customizable, meaning we set the pace, the technical difficulty, and the flow entirely based on your skill level, curiosity, and goals.
This is not just another mechanical, downhill marathon. We want to bring you back to the roots of mountain biking, exploring the land just like the pioneers did—before shuttles existed. As guides who deeply love this territory, its history and the art of discovery, we designed this full-day journey to connect Finale’s rich heritage with its most rewarding singletracks.
We will ride a magnificent blend of Finale Ligure MTB trails: from the endless flow of the legendary Rollercoaster and the deep beech woods of Base Nato, down to the raw, challenging rock slabs of Verezzi. Around Verezzi, the trails pass through landscapes shaped by thousands of years of human history, where Paleolithic settlements once stood high above the Ligurian coast.
Along the way, we will reveal hidden trail gems unknown to the crowds, stop at breathtaking panoramic viewpoints overlooking the Mediterranean, and ride through historic stone villages. To live the day like someone who truly belongs here, our itinerary includes a stop for an authentic, traditional Ligurian lunch in a historic village, paired with our signature Maritozzo break. Every climb is rewarded with unforgettable riding, spectacular landscapes and a deeper connection to the territory.

You’ll be riding with a team of Certified Liguria Region Guides and qualified instructors from the Federazione Ciclistica Italiana. We are the people behind Trails Unlimited, bringing our own personality, experience and passion to every ride. When you book a tour, you ride directly with us.

Is this tour for you? If you want to experience the absolute best of Finale Ligure in a single day—from historic, natural stone trails to stunning sea-view lines—and you’re ready for an authentic mountain bike adventure guided by a professional, you’re in the right place.
Who is this for? This specific itinerary is designed for adults due to the physical pedaling and technical stone trails. Traveling with young shredders? Don’t worry! We love families—check out our dedicated Family Camps or ask us about our upcoming 1-Day Kids Special Tour designed just for them!
Bike Type: Enduro bike (150mm+) or E-MTB. While this tour is fantastic on a traditional mountain bike, an e-bike opens up even more possibilities, allowing us to link extra trails, explore hidden corners and create an even richer riding experience.
Vibe: Pure Finale riding culture, iconic terrain, and the ultimate local pastry break.
The Riding: A technical blend of raw rocky slabs, historic stone-paved singletracks, and tight coastal switchbacks.
The Support: We use two strategic shuttle uplifts to maximize your gravity and downhill time, but be ready for some scenic pedaling to reach the hidden gems in Verezzi.
TRAVEL & LOGISTICS
➜ We’ve got the logistics covered so you can focus on the ride.
Meeting Point: We meet at 08:30 AM at Osteria Porta Testa in Finalborgo for a welcoming Italian coffee and a quick briefing. Our first single shuttle uplift departs just a few steps away from the café.
Daily Schedule: Expect around 67 hours out on the trails, including our iconic morning pastry stop and a relaxed lunch break in a traditional local trattoria.
Guided Tour : This is a private guided experience led by a Certified Liguria Region MTB Guide. Every tour is tailored to your group’s riding level and interests, allowing us to choose the best trails according to the season and trail conditions.

1 Rider (Solo): € 250
2 Riders: € 150 per person
3 Riders: € 125 per person
4 Riders: € 105 per person

What’s Included: Professional Certified MTB Guide, 2 single shuttle uplifts per person (covering Rollercoaster & Base Nato), customized trail selection based on your riding style, and our signature Maritozzo & coffee pastry break.
What’s Excluded: Travel insurance (mandatory), bike & gear rental, lunch and personal expenses.
Booking: A 30% deposit is required to secure your private tour. The remaining balance is due before the riding day. As this is an exclusive private experience and availability is limited, we recommend booking in advance.
TRAVEL TIPS
LOGISTICS
GETTING HERE: The main hubs are Nice (NCE) and Genoa (GOA). Milan (MXP) is an option but requires a longer transfer. The tour starts in Finalborgo and ends in Finalborgo, so plan your travel accordingly.
FOOD & DIETARY: We love local flavors! If you have allergies or intolerances, please let us know at the time of booking so we can coordinate with the trattorias.
ON-TOUR CARE
HEALTH PRIORITIES: Your health and safety on tour is our top priority.
LOCAL ADVICE: You should always consult your own doctor or physician before travelling to new countries to seek their advice on health matters abroad.
VACCINATIONS & WATER: No vaccinations are required for visiting our tour areas. While tap water is generally safe, we recommend bottled or filtered water, which will be readily available throughout the trip.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS: Please let us know if you have any special food requirements, allergies, or pre-existing conditions your guides should know about.
TRAVEL INSURANCE (Mandatory): As a condition of booking, you must be insured against medical and personal accident risks. Your policy must explicitly cover mountain biking. We also strongly recommend coverage for trip cancellation and baggage (including your bike).
FINANCIAL TIPS
CURRENCY & CASH: The local currency is Euro (€). While cards are accepted in cities, cash is essential for remote mountain huts and small bars.
ATM MACHINES: You can find ATMs in Finale Ligure, Dolceacqua, and Nice. We suggest withdrawing cash before heading into the smaller villages.
TIPPING: In Italy, tipping is a sign of appreciation for great service. If you’ve had an epic time, a tip for your guides and local staff is always a nice gesture!
WHEN TO BOOK THIS TOUR
This tour runs all year round. Every season offers a different perspective of Finale Outdoor Region. Our flexible itinerary allows us to choose the best trails according to weather and trail conditions, ensuring an outstanding riding experience whenever you visit.
Cancellation Policy
A 30% deposit is required to secure your booking and is non-refundable if the tour is cancelled by the guest.
Your safety—and ours—always comes first. If extreme weather or official weather warnings make riding unsafe, we’ll cancel the tour and issue a voucher for the full value of your deposit, which can be used on a future Trails Unlimited tour.
Whenever conditions allow, we’ll adapt the itinerary rather than cancel the day. We only cancel when we believe it isn’t safe to ride.
