The Kids Tribe
The Bike: Well-maintained with disc brakes and tires in good condition.
Mandatory Protection: Helmet (full-face highly recommended), knee pads, long-fingered gloves, and a back protector or backpack.
The Pack: One spare tube of the correct size, a light snack, and at least 1L of water.
Special Gadget: Keep on Riding – be ready for the thrills!
For the Parents Off-Duty
The Bike: E-MTB or Analog in fully efficient condition.
Repair Kit: Mini-pump, multi-tool, and a spare derailleur hanger.

What is the minimum age for children to participate?
Our Family MTB Camp is designed for families with children aged 6 and up who are already comfortable riding a bike without training wheels. We carefully select the trails to ensure they are safe, fun, and appropriate for the age and skill level of the youngest riders in the group.
What kind of bike do we need, and can we rent them?
Children need a mountain bike in good working condition with gears and reliable brakes. For adults, we recommend an Enduro MTB or E-MTB to fully enjoy the trails of Finale Ligure. Don’t worry if you don’t have your own equipment: we can easily arrange professional rentals for both adults and kids through our local partners. Just let us know in advance!
Will parents and children ride together the whole time?
The camp is organized into 4 half-day sessions where the groups are split: children have their own dedicated guide to focus on fun and skills with their peers, while adults ride with a separate guide to explore more technical terrain. We then all reunite for lunch to share the day’s adventures and enjoy the family atmosphere together.
How do you handle different skill levels between parents and children?
By splitting into two groups, we ensure that everyone has the best possible experience. Our certified guides tailor the pace and the choice of trails to the specific abilities of each group: kids focus on building confidence and bike handling through play, while adults can tackle challenges suited to their own experience. This way, no one feels held back, and everyone improves at their own pace.
Is safety equipment mandatory for the camp?
Yes, safety is our top priority. Helmets are mandatory for everyone. Specifically for children, a full-face helmet is required to ensure maximum protection on the trails. We also strongly recommend knee pads and gloves for both kids and adults to make the riding experience as safe and confident as possible.
What should we pack in our backpacks for the rides?
Make sure to bring plenty of water, energy snacks, a light windbreaker, and sunscreen. For children: please bring a spare inner tube that matches their bike size (e.g., 20″ or 24″). Parents should carry these spare tubes for their kids. For adults: it is essential to carry at least the basics—a spare inner tube, a pump, and a multi-tool. And of course, don’t forget a great spirit of adventure!
