ROERO WILD SIDE: CANYONS AND SANDY SINGLETRACKS
Canyons and Singletracks – Today we explore the wilder side of the region: the Roero. After a short transfer, we’ll enter the “Rocche” area, characterized by spectacular canyons and sandy soil.
This is a day of pure riding fun on fluid singletracks that weave through ancient chestnut forests and sharp ridges.
The terrain here offers a technical and rewarding experience for those who love mountain biking in its most natural form. THE HAZELNUT QUEEN : MOVING TO ALTA LANGA
Moving to Alta Langa – After checking out from Pollenzo, we head to our second base in the charming village of Borgomale. As we climb higher, the landscape shifts dramatically: the tidy, geometric vineyards of the lowlands give way to the green, untamed hills and deep valleys of the Alta Langa.
This afternoon ride is a perfect “transition” stage to discover this new, rugged territory.
We’ll pedal through silent, fragrant hazelnut groves and ancient woods, breathing in the crisp air of the higher ridges where the silence is only broken by our tires. It’s a day to embrace the quiet beauty of these wilder hills and the authentic, rural heart of Piedmont before reaching our new home in the hazelnut country.

THE HIGHEST PEAK: FRONTIER PATHS AND WILD WOODS
Frontier Kitchen & Peaks – Our final loop takes us to the summit of Mombarcaro, the highest peak of the Langhe, from where, on clear days, the sea of the Ligurian coast seems almost close enough to touch.
This is a wild, remote stage far from any traffic, featuring deep, ancient woods and challenging, constant climbs.
It’s an authentic journey through untouched nature, where the silence of the mountains meets the rugged spirit of the borderlands.
After a week of epic riding, we’ll descend back to our base for a grand celebration dinner, raising our glasses to toast an unforgettable journey through the heart of Piedmont.

The "Barolo Mirror" Legend
In the heart of the Langhe, old winemakers say that the best Nebbiolo grapes are those that can ‘see the mountains.’ It’s called the Mirror Effect: on clear days, the snow-capped Alps reflect the sun’s rays back onto the hills, acting like a natural mirror.
This extra dose of light is the secret behind the power and elegance of Barolo, the “King of Wines”.
As we ride along the ridges, look toward the horizon: if you can see the Monviso, you’re looking at the birthplace of a legendary vintage.
